heehee. sometimes i jus freeze the rice & defrost it in emergencies or when lazy to cook rice afresh! :) my fried rice frying skills were never v good - not enough arm muscle & stamina to get it jus right! esp if egg is involved!

I like your perspective for the photo...and the dimness of it lends a very old sleepy town feel...which is exactly like how I remember it =D. I was there for some adventure race as part of some leadership/team building course I was on...the race was rather pointless but I remember having my first frogs legs there...and as cliched as it may sound...they tasted surprisingly just like chicken =D. Thanks for sharing it!

*drools* Where I am for most of the year we get the Hong Kong or Ipoh Style (depending on who you talk to) of Chee Cheong Fun...which don't get me wrong I love...but the 'Singapore' version was the stuff of my childhood and you can't ever give that stuff up. Thank you for sharing that =D. I love how your photos always bring up old memories for me =D

Unfortunately, the electric sweeper doesn't work like a vacuum cleaner as it doesn't have a suction. However, it sweeps up dust pretty well and you can buy this from the electrical appliances store in Singapore called Courts http://www.courts.com.sg at S$89.

I'm stopping by singapore for a couple of days...did you get that in Singapore? and does it do carpets well? And do you know if it's easy on wooden floorboards? I apologise for all the questions =D. I'm quite a neat freak but vacuuming makes alot of noise and paying 300 plus for a vacuum cleaner with a built in silencer (How cool is that huh!) is way out of my poor undergraduate's budget.

That's a lot of fish...on one hand the blur adds to the feeling of motion and the sense of a uncontrollable crowd, but on the other I would have really liked to have seen the fish nice and clear. I'm honestly not sure which way would be better, but as is this is still a good, and cool photo.
